Alfred Stowers

Managing Director

My background is varied and interesting. I have worked in the public sector for both Work and Income and Immigration New Zealand. I have had management roles in manufacturing and logistics for a variety of different New Zealand companies. I previously owned and operated a Talent Agency and Recruitment Company based in West Auckland. My work experience ranges from being the cleaner in a supermarket to being the owner of the company.

I also love sport and being involved in the health and fitness industry. I run when I can, and regularly go to the gym to keep fit. I even competed in a body building show. I have played semi pro rugby league in Australia, and for a time ran the NZ American Football Association based here in Auckland. After sport, I developed a love of theatre and acting, and in my spare time, I still act and produce the odd stage play and short film.

I bring all that experience and skill with me to CornerStone Recruitment where with my wife we aim to continue to be the real people behind the company name.

 

Ruth Stowers

Administration Manager

My background has been varied, and like Alf I have done everything from cleaning, commercial painting, teacher aiding to being a Work and Income Case Manager and Communications Call Taker for the Police to my current role as co-director of Cornerstone Recruitment.

I have lived in small town New Zealand and the big city of Auckland, but my roots are in rural Canterbury. Go the Crusaders

With a back ground in trades, administration and customer service, I bring a wide range of experience to our company, and I can empathize with people with a broad skill set base.

In my spare time, I like the arts, and dabble in photography, craftwork and occasionally painting. I enjoy decorating and working on our home. I love gardening and all types of plants and trees.

 

Sam Wong-King

Consultant

 

My career started from studying in a local institute, gaining knowledge in Business Management and graduating with a Business Management Qualification which includes a certificate in Career Self Development. I have experience in warehousing and customer service roles, and have also worked as a Youth worker managing and administering youth and community projects and resources.

I’m passionate about my sport (Boxing). It’s in my blood. In my spare time I love going to the gym and getting regular gym exercise with the boys, and keeping fit and healthy. I also love attending Christian meetings and taking part in the field service ministry, keeping well focused throughout my life and working on my goals.

With my background I bring to CornerStone a range of knowledge and experience where I hope to grow and develop my skills as a consultant within the business and be a real person behind the business name CornerStone Recruitment.
